And now we come to the first of what is hopefully a long series of works of my new lover model and muse, (not to mention best friend) Karen.
I work very personally, and my work is obviously hugely influenced by how I feel about someone at the time. This was the first tim I'd painted her, and I wanted it to have a looseness and a freedom of mark, instead of being so tied to reality, basically to express I was happy.
