Pastle on colour paper.
A2, whatever size that is. You know those big bits of coloured pastle paper you can buy? that size. Karen gave me a surprize gift about 2 weeks ago of a huge book about Degas. Obviously reading about him, and looking at his portraits of women in pastle had no effect on me what so ever, so lets not talk about him. Emma is actually a girl I've been comissioned to paint. Karen did the photo shoot and came up with a million good shots so whilst I'm waiting for them to decide on an image, I thought I'd have a go with pastles as a warm up, and also because this image was just too good not to be made into something. My first attempt at pastle on proper coloured pastle paper. That stuff is the bomb baby! so easy! anyways it worked better then I thought it would given I'm a pastle newbie. Woot!
