Desktop halfway through an oil painting

Woke up after a really long slog last night and found the chaos worth a photo.
Before I start a new painting, I completely clear my workspace, put down clean white paper, get rid of all my old plastic pallets and neatly lay out all the brushes and paints I need. Apparently things have degenerated...........
